Welcome to our new dietitian!

In 2018, when Werth Your While Nutrition first began I wrote as a long term goal, “hire a team.” At the time, I wasn’t quite sure what that meant or where this little idea to help and support families through eating disorder recovery would take me. This week, in order to support more individuals and families, I’m so excited to welcome my first team member: Rachael Utstein MS RD.

Meet Rachael!

My name is Rachael Utstein and I am a non-diet dietitian who practices with an Intuitive Eating and Health At Every Size
approach. I am passionate about guiding individuals and families on their journey towards a more positive relationship with food and their bodies.

Before becoming a dietitian, I struggled with my own disordered relationship with food, exercise, and my body. When I learned about the principles of Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size and began implementing them on my own, it truly changed my life and led me to practice these
principles in my professional life as well.

Prior to joining the team at Werth Your While Nutrition, I worked as the lead dietitian in an eating
disorder treatment program at the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care. Throughout my time there, my interest in supporting individuals and families through all stages of recovery grew stronger.

I absolutely love what I do, which includes helping individuals find meaning and value in themselves outside of their body and eating habits and guiding individuals in rejecting diet
culture and truly embracing food freedom.

I currently live in New Haven with my fiancé where I enjoy spending time outside (preferably in the sun!), exploring new foods and restaurants, listening to podcasts, and dabbling in watercoloring.

If you’re interested in working with Rachael, book an appointment here.
