From testing out a new recipe in the kitchen to finding a hidden running route to my inability to not say something ridiculous, every day brings a new werthwhile (get it?) adventure.

Through weekly updates on the blog I hope to make readers laugh, learn and consider how even simple, seemingly mundane interactions can become werthwhile stories. Please use the comment section below each of my posts or the contact page to share your own with me.

Each blog post can stand alone, so feel free to jump in and join me on my journey with the most recent post, or go back and read any that catch your eye. Sign up to receive email updates when new entries are posted.

My running buddies and I took on Australia in the summer of 2017.

As an individual in recovery from an eating disorder (ED), I have a monthly series on this blog about what life is really like with ED. I want to bridge the gap and reduce the stigma between those who have suffered and the general population. If we can all be a little more empathetic and aware of those around us, then recovery can truly become a possibility.

Every day is an opportunity to learn something new about a friend, a place, yourself and everything in between. Through my nutrition knowledge, my love of exercise and the outdoors, my investigations and my interactions with friends, family and strangers of all types and my hopefully not too obnoxious commentary I hope to make every visit to this blog werth your while.

My cousin Maddy Werth (right) and me (Julia Werth, left) on the first werthwhile adventure of summer 2016.

I am in the process of setting up my own counseling business in Connecticut for those who need to reestablish a good relationship with food. Whether you’re struggling with disordered eating, over eating or simply how to fit healthy eating (and cooking) into your day I’m here to help. Please stay tuned for my coming services.

If you have any suggestions, comments, questions or topic areas you want me to write about please let me know via email (juliabwerth@gmail.com), twitter (@jboelwerth), instagram (@jbwerth), facebook or commenting on a post.
